You Can Still Register

If you missed the on-line registration deadline it's not too late!  Registration for the Lakefield 5K ~ Run the River is still available on Saturday morning before the race. 

There will be a registration area set up at Isabelle Morris Park starting at 7:30 AM until 8:30 AM.  The gun is set to go off at 8:45 AM.

Results will be posted Saturday shortly after the race on the Oval web site and will be on Running Room site on Monday.

2008 'Run the River' Logo Contest

2007_Logo.JPGThe 4th Annual Run the River will be held in Lakefield on Saturday, May 10, 2008.  This event has attracted upwards of 300 participants throughout the community and as far away as New York.  The event is designed to foster community participation and further develop healthy and active lifestyles.  Registrants range in age from infant to 80 and appeal to competitive and leisurly participants.

 

Last year a logo contest was launched among the youth community to encourage participation and awareness of our event.  It was a very successful competition with a variety of entries featuring a range of skill level throughout area schools.  We are pleased to say that the logo competition will run again for the 2008 event!

Get Set to 'Run the River'

Get ready, set and run!  Lakefield’s 4th Annual Lakefield 5K Walk and Run is set for Saturday, May 10 at Isabelle Morris Park.   Starting at 8:45 a.m. competitive runners and leisurely walkers alike can run or walk their way through some of Lakefield’s scenic trails in support of the Ontario Speed Skating Oval project and Kawartha Food Share.
